Millennium Coastal Park Play Area
The nautical themed play area is a short stroll and just moments away from the apartment.

Recently completed, the £106,000 play area has a pirate crew cabin, a birds nest mast climb, sea lion, dolphin and shark springers, an octopus see-saw, stepping pods and much more. Close by in the Discovery Centre you will find the local ice cream kiosk, beach cafe and tourist information.


Sandy Water Park
Sandy Water Park has been developed from one of the cooling lakes associated with the old Dupont Steelworks.
A hilltop monument remembers the steel workers whilst information displays along the route provide some history to the area.

Today there is an abundance of swans, mallards and other wildlife in and surrounding the lake. There is a pleasant level lakeside walk around the perimeter and The Sandpiper Pub & Restaurant (Brewers' Fayre) in one corner for refreshments or a meal.

A longer walk takes you through the adjacent Mabinoglon woods and onto magnificent views of the Gower Peninsula across the sandy beach and sea.


Ramps Skatepark
Situated just a short walk from the apartment, the skate park offers the opportunity for skaters, BMX bikes and scooters to ride the advanced state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor ramp systems.

The venue also boasts dedicated spectator areas, a 60 seat cafe and a shop selling parts and accessories.


Llanelli Leisure Centre
In the centre of the town you will find Llanelli Leisure Centre with its 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool. The pool has a fun hydro slide which winds its way outside the pool and returns to a smaller learner pool.

Also at the centre you will find a full sized astro turf, Actif Fitness Club, a large multi-use sports hall and a cafe.


Pembrey Country Park
Facilities and activities include a dry ski slope, toboggan run, Segway course, miniature railway, orienteering course, picnic areas, visitor centre, restaurant, cafe and ice cream parlour.

There are also many nature trails, forest walks and cycle tracks across the Country Park, not forgetting its 8 mile award winning beach.


The Play King
An exciting indoor play centre situated in Llanelli which boasts a gigantic indoor soft play area with a separate toddler's activity area.

Set over five levels, features include 'Battle Cannon', 'High Glide', 'Astro Slide' and massive 'Ball Pools'.


WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre
For birdwatchers and families, there is plenty to discover all year round at WWT Llanelli. Easy paths give access to most areas including the duck nursery, lakes and flamingos.

The range of habitats makes the 450 acre site a refuge for thousands of migratory birds visiting every year including black-tailed and bar-tailed godwits, pintail, curlew, shelduck, shoveler, snipe, teal and little egrets.

For the children there are hundreds of birds and ducks to spot and feed. Fun day activities at weekends and during school holidays include pond dipping, den building, canoe safari, bike trails and indoor crafts.

The Estuary Cafe provides a spectacular panoramic view over the Gower Peninsula and the Wetlands centre pools. Hot and cold drinks and food are served all day.


Parc Howard & Museum
Parc Howard Museum and Art Gallery are housed within a 19th century country house situated in 24 acres of parkland and gardens. The park has bowling greens, tennis courts, sunken gardens, ponds, plus a childrens play area and paddling pool.


Kidwelly Castle
For a truly medieval moment, catch a glimpse of Kidwelly Castle shrouded in the early morning mist. Originally made from earth and timber, by the 13th century the castle had been rebuilt in stone. Visitors are now able to explore the Sacristy and Chapel.


Dylan Thomas Boathouse
A truly remarkable place to visit with the terrace offering wonderful views of the Taf estuary and the Gower beyond.
A haven for birds, seals and otters. The first poem written by Dylan Thomas at the boathouse was 'Over Sir John's Hill'.


Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary
During your visit you will see chimpanzees, baboons, spider monkeys, capuchins and marmosets. The main work of the sanctuary is providing homes for many unwanted and mistreated animals.


Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo
Folly farm combines the experience of an adventure park, zoo, farm, and funfair, all in one setting.

With four themed adventure park areas, over 50 species of wildlife, Folystone racetrack with go-karts and Europes largest undercover funfair, there is plenty to keep the whole family entertained for the day.
